weekend delights

weekends for me are treasures. it's the time that i can clean my house, do my errands, hang out with friends, or simply have some alone time. but for the past few weeks, my weekends have been nothing but total RIOT weekends!

weekend #1: jamaican nights with roy
weekend #2: beach weekend with bestfriend lea
weekend #3 (last weekend): alma's

i wasn't really up to going to the beach that day since it was "that time of the month" for me. but i promised JP that we would so we headed to the beach. when we got there, alma, doms, hazel and the kids were up and about. then tita tonette and tita emi came. the helpers set up a table and we had our rhum cokes and tempura while basking in the sun, with the waves lapping at our feet.

at 3pm, the tide started to come in so the jetskis were rolled out. there were 8 of us and 3 jetskis so there was doms and JP on the green seadoo; alma, hazel and tita tonette on the red one; and me, tita emi and antoni on the purple. we went around mactan, all the way to the mactan channel, under the new mactan bridge, stopping by the cebu yacht club, over to the lagoon and back to the beach house. i loved it! JP was freaking out because doms was driving like a speed freak and was making the jetski jump. too bad i didn't get to ride with doms. i had a need for speed that day.

at 6pm, we hitched a ride with tita tonette back to the city. as we were cruising along the NRA, fireworks suddenly lit up the sky. it was the fiesta of mandaue! so we stopped on the side of the hiway and watched the colorful lights. it was the perfect way to end our day.
