SCENE 1: Flatrocks Bar and Resto. Loud music, beer bottles all around and cigarette smoke.

Valerie: Uy! Jocks musta na? San si Chance?
Jai: Ayun, tinatapos pa yung music video ng kartoon.
Valerie: San? Sa Alabang pa?
Jai: Hindi, dyan lang sa kanila yata.
(Pasok si Chance)
Valerie: Dude!!! (Lumapit para mag-hug)
Chance: Dude saglit lang ha (Mukang haggard na haggard)
(Umalis si Chance dala ang laptop at nag setup na para sa premiere ng Ngayon o Bukas Man ng Kartoon Kemistry)
(Valerie walks over to the bar and stands, observing the crowd)
Valerie: Wala bang libreng beer dyan? Alumni naman eh!
Izabel: Red Horse, ayos lang?
Valerie: Uh...later na lang siguro. Wala bang Lite?
Izabel: Yan lang eh.
Valerie: Sige, mamya na.(Valerie stays standing at the bar. A guys suddenly comes up to her and stands beside her)
Guy: Hindi ka umiinom?
Valerie: Hindi (sounding irritated)
(The guy stays beside her. After a few minutes, Valerie looks at the guy)
Valerie: Do I know you? (sounds exasperated)
(The guy just looks at her)
Valerie: Anak ng tokwa!?!?! John??? (amazement) Shit, what happened to you? Musta na?
(John is Valerie's ex-bf)
John: Ayos lang. Bakit, ibang iba ba itsura ko?
Valerie: Hell yeah! Didya get abducted by aliens or something?
John: No, work just totally drained me.
Valerie: Talaga lang ha! (smiling) Sino kasama mo?
John: Brods. Tara upo tayo, pakilala kita.
(Both go to a near by table where 3 guys were sitting wearing their frat shirts)
John: Brod, si Valerie. Val, si Eric, bossman namin.
Valerie: Hi! (extends her hand)
Eric: (takes her hand and shakes it) Hi!
Valerie: So, ano gimmick?
John: Wala lang. Tara, labas tayo.
Valerie: O sige(They go out the door to the parking lot)

SCENE 2: Dark parking lot, stars twinkling above, faint music from the bar.

Valerie: So, ano na nangyayari sa iyo?
John: Wala lang. May congress sa may Pansol eh puro oldies nandun so pumunta na lang ako dito.
Valerie: Talagang kinareer ang frat ha.
John: Eh ganon talaga.(Valerie laughs)
John: Ayun, so bumalik na lang ako dito sa LB para mag-inom. Birthday ko eh.
Valerie: Talaga? Anong date na ba? Diba May 17 ka?
John: Hindi noh. Baka ibang boyfriend mo yan (laughs)
Valerie: Baka nga (laughs)
(They both fall silent)
John: Pa-kiss naman dyan o!
(Valerie gives him a quick kiss)
Valerie: Happy birthday dear
John: Thanks
(They walk over to a plant box and sit down)
John: So ano na? Dun ka pa rin ba sa info?
Valerie: By tomorrow, hindi na. Contract signing ko na sa Convergys tomorrow at 10am.
John: Talaga? Bat ka umalis?
Valerie: Eh mas maganda offer ng Convergys eh.
John: Pero sa may makati lang yan?
Valerie: Yup! Sa Enterprise Center. Lumipat lang ng building. (laughs) Ikaw? Ano na ginagawa mo?
John: I worked for a couple of months. Ngayon, lay low muna. Vacation.
Valerie: Wow! Sarap naman.
(Silence. Valerie leans over and kisses John. John reciprocates. The door opens)
Guy: Nong, alis na kami
John: (Stands and shakes the guys hand) Sige brod, ok lang kayo?
Guy: Oo. Lapit lang naman yan. Sige Nong, salamat. Happy birthday ulit.
John: Salamat brod.(Guy walks away)
John: Alis na rin ako in a while.
Valerie: Huh? Bakit? Aga pa ah (looks at her watch) O! 2am pa lang!
John: Grabe dude, wasted na ako. And, you have that contract signing pa. Matulog ka na.
Valerie: Don't worry about me. I can wake up.

(After 30 minutes)

John: Pano yan? Alis na ako.
Valerie: O sige, ganyan ka naman eh. Nangiiwan. (laughs)
John: Oy hindi ha!
Valerie: Ulol!(Both laugh)
John: Sige na, alis na ako. I'll see you soon.
(John leans over and kisses Valerie)
Valerie: Hmm...I'll believe you when I do see you again.
John: What does that mean?
Valerie: Nothing. I'll believe you when I do see you again.
(Valerie kisses him again)
Valerie: Bye
John: Bye. Ingat.
(John walks away, Valerie goes back into the bar)

(Valerie never does see him again)
