wishing he were in my cradle

wendell!!! he's been my crush since God knows when! three brief encounters with him:

1) their concert in LB. i was suppose to host the show but i got laringitis. just went back stage to say hi.
2) me asleep at the back of a paolo's car. paolo borrow cymbals from him and he dropped it off. i wake up to see him looking at me, figuring out if i was alive.
3) dusit hotel during the jazz festival of french spring in manila. he came to watch rommel play. paolo was there too and as luck would have it, wendell sat beside pao. so pao introduces me to him and much to my delight, wendell says "yeah, you're the sleeping beauty at the back of pao's car" well now...what can i say? can i count that as a compliment?

sadly, he's married...i think...hay....another one lost to marriage
